I’m Opening Up 1:1 Career Coaching for Tech Professionals 🎉
It's a trial session. Only 3 spots available.
Almost four months ago, I got my first coaching opportunity from LinkedIn. One of my ex-colleagues reached out to me for help since he is considering moving to a management position.
It turned out that we both have been enjoying the process. I’ve learned a lot from it.
So, in that case, I’m opening up more opportunities for everyone who is interested.
Who Should Consider?
I have 10+ experience in the tech industry, with experience in giant enterprises and unicorn startups.
Since transitioning to a manager, I have had 30+ direct reports who I’ve been providing career support. I’ve also helped some of them get promoted to a more senior role and move to the management path.
If you are thinking about any of the following, let’s see if we can achieve them together:
🧭 Getting promoted to a more senior engineering role
🪜 Transitioning to an engineering leader
⚡ Accelerating your learning as a new Engineering Manager
🗼 Relocating to Tokyo
Whether you’re feeling stuck, planning a big move, or just want someone who’s been there to bounce ideas off, I’m here to help.
How Can We Work Together?
⏱️ 20-min Introduction Call (free)
This is for clarifying whether you need coaching/consulting from me. We will walk through your problems & discuss context together.
It’s also a good opportunity for you to experience my coaching style.
📚 Coaching & Consulting (trial)
Only 3 spots available for now.
60-min per session.
I will send a feedback form after the sessions. I’d highly encourage you provide your feedback.
Recurring sessions are possible.
How to Book a Call?
You can book here with TidyCal.
However, I’m located in Japan, so the timezone might not work for everyone. If you cannot find a good spot on the calendar, just send me a message on Substack or LinkedIn. Let’s find a time that works for both of us.
Coaching Session Example
If you are not familiar with coaching, here’s an example:
Problem: "You want to proceed in your tech career, but you have no idea how."
Step 1: We start with a short introduction and we explore the context. For example:
What's your current role, and how long have you been doing it?
Where do you feel stuck, bored, or unsure?
Step 2: We break down possible directions. For example:
Do you want to grow technically (e.g., staff engineer path)?
What are your long-term life goals — money, flexibility, location, impact?
Step 3: We co-create a lightweight action plan. For example:
Identify projects that would demonstrate leadership
Ask for a 1:1 with your manager to clarify growth expectations
Start tracking wins and impact to build your promotion case
✅ Result: You’ll walk away with the following:
A clearer sense of direction
A short-term plan to move forward
Coaching vs. Consulting
Coaching means I guide you through your current issue and allow you to explore answers on your own. I will not give you a direct answer.
On the other hand, consulting means I will give my best suggestions, like a Q&A session. You’ll do more listening than speaking. This applies more on topics such as relocation to Tokyo.
There is no right or wrong in doing coaching or consulting. We’ll explore together which is better for resolving your issue.

I’m super excited that you share a passion for coaching and helping people with their career challenges!
Even though my vision is a bit different, I also want to build something in the direction of mentoring.
Let me know if we can collaborate or help each other in some way.
Maybe we can talk about the strategies of enabling people to excel in their career. I think that’s the point where coaching and mentoring intersect quite a lot!
I'm about to start a 1:1 in my small town. To teach a less academic English and simpler for Italian youngsters. But keeping also professional if necessary. I wish you luck. All the amazing people on Substack inspired me. And for kids can't afford I'll do for free. Others, just donations, whatever. OpenSource spirit in real life.
